What are Chuug rope handles made from?

Chuug rope handles are made from a specially designed synthetic “SmartRope” material. It is designed to look and feel like traditional hemp rope while offering improved durability and resistance to moisture.

Unlike natural rope, CHUUG SmartRope is designed to:

• Resist moisture absorption
• Be anti-bacterial
• Resist rot, warping, and stretching
• Maintain its shape over time

Chuug rope handles are available in two different colours - Natural and Charcoal.

For care, the rope handle and wooden outer should be hand cleaned only and dried after use. While the rope material itself is water-resistant, we do not recommend soaking or submerging the wooden outer of the CHUUG for prolonged periods.
